⭐ #TrickTuesday - Scorpion A scorpion is a flexibility skill where you stand on one foot while pulling the other foot back and upward behind you with both hands. While it takes practice to master this skill, you can do it if you work hard! Check out some tips from Lexi! 1️⃣ Warm up your back! 2️⃣ Stand up straight and lift your leg behind you. 3️⃣ Grab the outer side of your back foot with the hand from that same side. 4️⃣ Push your back foot up towards the ceiling. 5️⃣ Push your leg higher with your arm as you turn your elbow outward. 6️⃣ Grab your back leg with your other hand.

⭐ #TrickTuesday - Fouette Performing a seamless series of perfectly placed fouettés requires both strength and finesse. While getting this turn nailed down will take some work, it's completely worth the effort! ✅ Close your ribs. ✅ Stay aligned. ✅ Rotate your hips. ✅ Don't hyperextend your arms. ✅ Use your peripheral vision. ✅ Create momentum. ✅ Work on your balance—everywhere! ✅ Build strength. ✅ Don't lose focus.

⭐ Trick Tuesday: Rosta Dancer Feature: Karyll Snyder (@karyllsnyderr) - Age 15 These are wonderful transitions, typically seen in Lyrical or Contemporary pieces. There are many variations of a Rosta. When you are first learning, you can perform it with 1 leg straight out and then roll to stand up. As you progress, you can then train to do two legs up and straight to stand.

⭐ Trick Tuesday: Dance Attitude An attitude is a ballet dance position where one leg and both arms are raised. This position is practiced in ballet class, but it’s also implemented in turns or jumps in various dance routines, so this move is essential for any dancer. ✅ Begin by standing with your heels together, and your feet turned out comfortably. Place one foot in front of the other, with heels aligned in the middle. Keep your arms in a relaxed position in front of you and hold your back tall and straight. ✅ Raise your arms to the sides, parallel to the floor, making sure they’re softly rounded with your fingers relaxed. Extend one leg directly behind you with your toe tucked under. ✅ Finally, lift your back leg, making sure your hips stay level. Create a slight bend in your knee and point your toe. Focus on holding your upper body upright with your shoulders pressing down and back.
