💙💛 LITTLE DANCERS. BIG FOUNDATIONS. ✨

Before the beautiful turns, impressive tricks, and big moments on stage, there are thousands of little moments just like these.

Learning where to place your arms. Finding your balance. Building strength. Trying something new. And discovering that progress comes one class at a time. 🩰

At Evolution Dance Complex, we believe every dancer deserves the opportunity to grow at their own pace, build confidence, and celebrate the little victories along the way.

Because great dancers aren't made overnight.

They're built one small step, one brave attempt, and one encouraging teacher at a time. 💙💛

Every dancer starts somewhere. 🩰💕

Sometimes it starts with tiny ballet shoes, pink tutus, new friends… and learning exactly how long you’re expected to sit still before it’s time to dance again. 😂

These little moments are some of our favorites.

Because before the big stages, the competitions, the performances and the years of training, there’s simply a little dancer discovering how much fun it is to move. ✨

And that’s a pretty wonderful place to begin. 💙💛

From tiny dancer to graduating senior. 💙💛

Meet EDC Senior **Perry Thompson** — and if you think being a dedicated dancer means there isn’t room for much else, Perry would like a word. ✨

A senior at Hoggard High School, Perry is a member of the Hoggard Dance Team, Beta Club President, Student Council Secretary, a member of National Honor Society and Order of the Viking — and was selected for the 2026 NC Governor’s School in Mathematics.

Outside of school and dance, she performs with Opera House Theatre Company and works on the nursery staff at St. James Episcopal Church.

And her next adventure?

Perry plans to attend a four-year university and major in **mechanical engineering.** 🎓

We talk often about raising dancers who are committed not only to their art, but to their education, their communities and the futures they are building beyond the studio.

Perry is a beautiful example of exactly that.

We are so proud of you and everything you have accomplished, Perry. We can’t wait to see where you go next. 💙💛

It’s more than just the gear. 💙💛

For two of our newest Tiny Tot Company members, getting their personalized EDC Company gear made everything feel just a little more official today. 🥹✨

New teammates. New experiences. New memories waiting to be made.

And two very excited little dancers ready for all of it. 💙

We can’t wait to watch these girls grow, learn, build confidence, and make their own special memories as part of the EDC Company family this season.

FRIDAY FEELS 💙💛

The regular season is officially underway, and we’re loving seeing our Company members settling into their Season 13 routines. ✨

There’s something pretty special about the friendships built inside these walls — the teammates who grow alongside you, cheer for you, challenge you, make you laugh, and somehow make even the longest days feel a little shorter.

Summer may keep our dancers coming and going in all kinds of combinations, but there’s something special about seeing the Company all together as the new season gets rolling. 🥹

Here’s to another season of hard work, big goals, lots of laughs, and even more memories together.

Happy Friday, EDC Family! 💙💛

GREAT DANCERS DO THEIR HOMEWORK. 😉📚💙

There’s a lot more happening at EDC between classes than changing shoes and grabbing a snack.

Sometimes, it looks like this. ✏️

For many of our dancers, the hours they dedicate to dance each week also mean learning how to balance rehearsals and classes with homework, studying and everything else that comes with being a student.

We believe the commitment they bring into the studio matters just as much outside of it.

Showing up. Working hard. Managing their time. Following through on commitments. And understanding that being dedicated to something you love doesn’t mean letting your other responsibilities slide.

Dance teaches so much more than steps — and learning how to pursue your passion while still making academics a priority is a lesson that will serve these kids long after they leave the studio. 💙💛

So yes, sometimes the dance bag has ballet shoes, tap shoes, a laptop, three pencils, a half-finished worksheet and probably a snack smashed somewhere at the bottom. 😂

And that’s exactly why we have a homework station.

Work hard in the studio. Work hard in the classroom. We’re proud of both. 📚🩰
