Keeping Elevations Healthy & Safe / Coronavirus Update
At Elevations, the health and wellness of the students and staff is our priority and lies at the heart of everything we do. Shutting down (and staying closed) is the hardest thing we’ve had to do. As with so many other small businesses, we are facing real challenges and the future of the studio is uncertain.
We hope to resume operations on May 16th, but regardless of how long the stay-at-home mandate remains in place, we will do whatever it takes to deliver on our commitments. Upon re-opening, the suspended March classes will finish first. April classes originally scheduled are moved to begin in late May. We will continue to contact students as new information becomes available.
In order to adapt and manage through this difficult time, belly dance is still online while the online store is growing – and now includes gift cards! As our students know, we’ve never been about profit or prestige. We won’t have fancy microphones, software, or cameras and we cannot promise professional backdrops, amazing lighting, or perfect videos. What we can promise is honesty, transparency, support, acceptance, integrity, and true passion.
When we return, it’s understandable that the class vibe might be a bit different, but our mission will always remain the same: to provide a great workout, a transformational experience, an outlet for expression, an emotionally cathartic atmosphere, an opportunity to do something new and beautiful, and a chance to fall in love with your body—exactly as it is.
We’ll hit the ground running in May but Partner Dancing will continue to be on hold until coronavirus threats are much diminished.
In the meantime, the website will expand with content and features and we hope you stay hydrated, sleep well, eat healthily, and keep moving!
