We are so sad to report that our beloved studio mascot has left us. Frosti crossed over early this morning at the age of 16 and 4 months. She was the studio dog from her first day with us. Numerous students fell in love with her and got their own dogs as a result. We have a hole in our hearts but are so thankful for her wonderful life and that she ran around, begged for people food and bossed us around right up to the very end. You were the best dog EVER, Frosti ❤️😭

The Field Studio is SO proud of our student Sadler Selby for being one of the two recipients of the Lower Cape Fear Young Citizenship Award for ‘demonstrating conduct in everyday life and excelling in the areas of citizenship, attitude, academics, character, service, leadership, and sportsmanship.’

We've always known what a stellar person Sadler is - but it is so cool that it's been said OFFICIALLY!

Here is the part where I say that perhaps a lifelong involvement in the arts helped shaped this wonderful young man.

Also fantastic parenting, of course! Shout out to Kristin & Scotty Selby!

The Force has been with Field Studio students all year long! You all continually impress me with your work ethic and tenacity. Today it really struck me how much you all have been doing this year...
Here is a partial list of what my current and former students are up to these days:
Professional summer rep company, starring role!

Dancing in two different productions with the local ballet company!

Broadway and national tour that followed!

Graduating college with a degree in Vocal Performance!(this applies to multiple graduates of the studio)

Getting a Master's in Speech Language Pathology after a degree in Vocal Performance!

A role in a pre-Broadway workshop!

A role in a live presentation of a children's musical, cast album and filmed for streaming!

Voice of a new jingle for a popular food!

Opera roles!

Recording an entire album for release in vinyl!

Gigs, gigs, gigs for everyone!

These are just the few things I can recall off the top of my head. You rock!
