Senior Spotlight: Alyssa ❤️🖤

Last but certainly not least is Alyssa, a true artist in every sense of the word. She is the kind of dancer who is not afraid to step outside her comfort zone, explore something different, and fully commit to the weird, creative, unexpected choreography that makes a performance unforgettable.

Alyssa first came to DZQ as a baby, then returned when she was old enough to compete at age 7. Since then, dance has been such a special part of her story. She remembers writing in her 3rd grade journal about how competition scoring worked and bringing her DZQ recital trophies to show and tell every year to brag on the kids. That says everything about how much this studio has meant to her.

What Alyssa has loved most about dance is exploring new styles and continuing to grow as an artist. This fall, she will be studying medical illustration with plans to transfer to a larger art college. Her goal is to create artwork for medical and science textbooks, blending her creativity with the world of medicine and education.

Alyssa, we are so proud of you. Your creativity, courage, and artistic heart have made such a beautiful mark on DanZQuest. We cannot wait to see where your next chapter takes you. ❤️

Senior Spotlight: Stella Elizabeth ❤️🖤

Stella, is one of the most positive, vivacious personalities in our studio and such a joy to watch on stage. Her performances are full of personality, confidence, and heart, and she has a way of making every routine feel like her own.

Truly, there is never a boring class when Stella is in the room. She brings the humor, the energy, and the kind of presence that makes everyone around her smile.

But beyond being hilarious and full of life, Stella is also incredibly kind, empathetic, and giving. She cares deeply, shows up for others, and brings so much heart to our DZQ family.

Stella started dancing when she was 10, and what she has enjoyed most about dance is meeting new friends and being able to perform. This fall, she plans to become a registered nurse and eventually work in the intensive care unit. In college, she is looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things, and watching football games.

Stella, we are so proud of you. Thank you for the laughter, the kindness, and the joy you have brought into this studio. We cannot wait to cheer you on in this next chapter. ❤️

Senior Spotlight: Hayden ❤️🖤

Next up is Hayden, who has been part of the DanZQuest family since she was 8 years old. Hayden and her family have grown up with this studio, and it is hard to imagine DZQ without her.

Beyond being such a joy to watch on stage, Hayden is the kind of dancer who shows up ready. She picks up choreography incredibly fast, assists in class, and brings a love for dance that is obvious in everything she does. Over the years, dance has truly been at the center of her world, from long rehearsals to competition weekends, even choosing the studio and the stage through moments like proms and school dances. That kind of commitment says so much about her heart.

Hayden says it is hard to pick just one thing she has enjoyed most about dance because of all the memories and friendships she has gained over the years, but what she loves most is the sense of community DZQ has given her.

This fall, Hayden will be heading to NC State to study forensic science, and she is looking forward to gaining independence in college.

Hayden, we are so proud of you and so grateful for all the years you have shared with us. You will always be part of the DZQ family. ❤️

Senior Spotlight: Elija ❤️🖤

Next up is Elija, and this one is so special.

Elija came to dance around age 10, first falling in love with watching it, and then little by little, finding his own place in it. What started as curiosity became something much bigger. Dance became his safe place, a space where he was celebrated, encouraged, and able to shine!

And if you have ever watched Elija on stage, you know that smile can be seen from the very back of the room. He brings joy, warmth, and so much heart every time he performs.

Elija says what he has loved most about dance is learning new styles and getting closer to new people. This fall, he plans to major in dance and minor in business, and he is most excited for the opportunity to dance in college.

Elija, we love you so much. We are so proud of the dancer and person you have become, and we cannot wait to see you continue to light up every stage you step onto. ❤️

Senior Spotlight: Francesca “Frenchie” ❤️🖤

First up in our senior highlights is our Frenchie, one of the most emotive dancers to ever take the DZQ stage. When Francesca performs, you feel it. She dances with her whole heart and has such a beautiful gift for telling a story through movement.

Dance has helped Frenchie express herself and grow in confidence, and it has been such a joy to watch that confidence shine brighter and brighter through the years.

This fall, Francesca will be majoring in psychology with the eventual goal of earning her MD and becoming a psychiatrist. She is excited to learn new things, meet new people, and step into this next chapter.

Frenchie, we are so proud of the dancer and person you are. Your heart, artistry, and presence have left such a special mark on DanZQuest. We cannot wait to cheer you on in all that comes next. ❤️

Today is the last day of competition, and it just so happens to be Mother’s Day. ❤️🖤

What a beautiful, emotional way to close out the season.

Today we celebrate our dancers, especially our seniors taking the competition stage one last time, and we celebrate the moms who helped make every one of these moments possible.

The moms who packed the bags, fixed the hair, calmed the nerves, found the missing shoes, cheered the loudest, wiped the tears, and loved their dancers through every high and hard moment.

Dance is full of big memories, but so many of them happen because of the people standing quietly behind the scenes making it all possible.

To our dancers, go finish this season with heart.

To our seniors, soak in every second.

And to our dance moms, Happy Mother’s Day. This stage shines brighter because of you. ❤️

Yesterday was an incredible start to our last competition of the season. ❤️🖤

Our dancers came ready, brought the energy, and made us so proud from the very first moment on stage. And for our seniors, this weekend carries a little extra heart. It is their final time taking the competition stage with DanZQuest, and we are soaking in every second.

We cannot wait to see what the rest of the weekend brings. Stay tuned, DZQ fam. There is so much more to come.

We are so proud of the way you showed up, supported each other, and left it all on the stage. Every performance showed your hard work, heart, and love for dance.

Weekends like this remind us how special this team is. The talent is incredible, but the friendship, encouragement, and DZQ spirit are what make it unforgettable.

Picture Day felt a little extra emotional this year. 📸❤️🖤

For our seniors, this was their last DanZQuest photo day, and we are not okay.

Hayden, Francesca, Stella, Elijah, and Alyssa, watching you grow through the years has been such a gift. You have brought so much heart, personality, talent, and love into this studio, and we are so proud of each of you.

As you get ready for your next chapters at NC State, USC, UNCG, and Cape Fear Community College, just know that DZQ will always be part of your story, and we will always be cheering you on.
