Sacrifices are part life

We talk about the incredible sacrifices that come with pursuing our goals, including not getting paid what we want, not getting paid on time, missing out on desired gigs or opportunities, and the importance of letting go without regret while leaving room for divine timing and circumstances.

From the Streets to the Lens: A Cameraman’s Journey of Originality and Sacrifice

I talk about growing up in an era that valued originality, and how I set my own tone by being one of the first to post camera-focused content on social media. I share my background as a Black kid from Elkton, Maryland, and Delaware, and how I saw my life as something more. I reflect on the light and dark in the world, and the incredible sacrifices required in this industry.

Unpredictable S**t

We talk about how life and business don’t follow a simple ABC path, but instead throw unexpected twists like X, T, and U. We emphasize the importance of planning and being sharp, while also being ready to pivot or let go when surprises come. The key is to never quit and keep moving forward despite the sacrifices.

Delaware is small enough to get in the room with the mayor or governor. But what happens when you don’t look or move the way people expect?

In a city like New York, those connections can feel a world away. In Delaware, the whole state can feel like one big town. That access has opened doors for me, but I’m walking through them as myself and representing creatives my way. Some people respect that. Some don’t.

Do you think Delaware’s size gives creatives an advantage, or does it make it harder to be different?
I want to hear from the Delaware creatives especially.

Creating as a Trailblazer in Delaware’s Creative Lab

We talk about the unique challenges and opportunities of being a creative from Delaware, where the slower pace and smaller community require us to innovate like we’re cooking up in a lab, becoming trailblazers who create something serious that gets noticed by bigger cities.
