We are beyond thrilled to share that the Blue Jacket will be sailing to Wilmington, DE next spring for the World Premiere of . We are beyond excited to be a part of 2025-2026 season!

A huge reason this was even possible was because of the audience and community we have built over the past year, so thank you for all of your support and commitment to creating new theatre. Subscriptions are on sale today, and singles tickets this July.

Stayed tuned for all the updates on our voyage to a full production. We cannot wait to see you there.

Film recap thanks to , of our 29 Hour Reading in NYC. We had an incredible week exploring the new draft of our story, and hearing five new songs and updated arrangements for the very first time! 11/2/20 Mimi called Jack to share a new found interest of sailing culture during the 1850’s, and that he should seriously begin exploring sea shanties. Since then we have had many more milestones, Eyakeno joining our pandemic creative therapy think tank, producing a proof of concept to find a writer, Selena joining us!!, August ‘23 having the first real bones of a draft, the South Australia Recording Day, our Setting Sail Campaign, traveling to London to see and work with Selena and the Clipper Ships, the Philadelphia Reading at , and our boat party this past July. All of this leading to our upcoming reading in NYC.

Thank you to all who have supported us with your time, talent, resources, and financial support. We cannot wait to see what this next year brings!

We are so thankful for our friends of The Chequerboard Watch who hosted a fundraiser for our upcoming Industry Reading in NYC this past Sunday evening. It was a beautiful night in Avalon, NJ on the Miss Avalon where we were able to share our journey, and where we are headed next in our process. Our guests even sang a few of our favorite songs from the show. We are just the luckiest!

We are recapping our first process and reading in Philadelphia at The Plough and the Stars on June 2, 2024. We were just about the luckiest with incomparable producer and artist Alanna J. Smith, and our extremely talented and warm actors and musicians. This is a just a very small glimpse into our story and characters, we can’t wait to share more soon. Stay cool and Sail On!

The very first reading of The Chequerboard Watch has commenced. It was a week of breathing life into characters, and seeing where our story is suppose to flow next.
