New mugs! These will be available soon!!
I've recently updated my website. Go have a look!
contemporary ceramics and pottery. THE MERGE: the fusion of contemporary ceramics and abstract expressionism. Showcases a few of Aundrea Wilson's most recent works.
New vase in the works. By next week it will be glazed and gold leafed!
I finished adding the tendrils to this piece last night. I'm going to let it dry for the next two weeks then it will be bisque and glaze fired. I should have this piece ready to show for the Landfall Foundation art show!
This is a new vase in the ocean series I'm slowly working on. This will bisque fired and glazed in the next couple of weeks. I'll have a few pieces from this series at the Landfall Foundation art show in August!
New work in progress. This piece has a rounded bottom so I added structure inside to weight it. If all goes according to plan it should wobble on a surface and not fall over. I will add tendrils down to the base and set it aside to dry.
A wip in a new series I'm working on. This will have a black silicon carbide glaze covering and poured resin detailing. At the moment I'm calling this "Mother Mother" but that might change when it's finished.
My piece "Ocean View" made it into the WAA Spring Show! You'll be able to view it, along with all the other wonderful art that was juried in, during the Azalea Festival at the Hannah Block center.
Here is my most recent piece "Ocean View". It is a fully functional vase that has gold leaf accents. This is the first in a series that will be based on waves and oceans. I submitted this into the Wilmington Art Association spring show. Fingers crossed that it gets juried in!!
I'm having a Black Friday sale. Everything that I have in stock at the studio will be 20% OFF! I'll also have a bonus sale for those who have signed up for my email list. I'll see you at The ArtWorks-Wilmington on Friday the 27th from 6-9 p.m!

New vase form I just completed. I'm attempting to get three of these made today. Let me know what you think!
A vase form I just completed. I used one continuous slab for this piece. The subtle curves are caused by the weight and stress of the clay. I let the clay decide what it wants to do. If I pushed it any further it would collapse on itself.
A textured microcrystalline vase. The texture tempts the viewer to touch it, but the sharpness causes the person to quickly retract their hand. I enjoy creating art that's tempting, something that causes a reaction and pushes the viewer past their comfort zone because curiosity gets the better of them.
I now have a twitter account for my art. Go have a look and follow me for up-to-date studio information!

These little critters are going to be ornaments. I'll have them for sale at the Wilmington Seafood Festival next weekend! I'll have starfish, stripped bass, flounder, red snapper, sheepshead, and hooks of course!
New work is being made. These are newly designed shotglasses. They remind me of mini martini glasses. You'll be able to purchase these, along with my other wares, at Fermental on the 19th!
I don't mean to blow up your feed, but I'm working at lightening speed. It's really starting to come together!
Working on a new project. I decided to go in a different direction in my work. Hopefully my idea will work out gracefully. Fingers crossed!
I had a great time at Tickled Pink with a few other Wilmington Art Association members. Go see my work, as well as the other great artists works, that are displayed. This is a month long event with new featured artists each week.
"Art, in any medium, is a form of expression. The artist is able to express their emotions visually to create a physical view into their soul. A bond is created between the artist and the viewer that is able to cross through time. Tangible emotion; the essence of the artist." - Aundrea Wilson
I came up with this quote when I was making my website. I wanted to express how important my art, and how people perceive it, is to me. I cannot fully express in words how I feel, but this is pretty close.
Check out this new video I made. This is a peek at how I make my sculptures. This one is going to be a giraffe. The video shows about 15 minutes of work condensed into 2 minutes. Let me know what you think and share with your friends!
You'll be able to see the finished piece at the Fourth Friday gallery/art crawl June 26th from 6-9pm at The ArtWorks-Wilmington. I'll be the featured artist!
You can also find the video with sound on Youtube.
Working on a platter. This is my process for smoothing and signing the bottoms. I'll post a more detailed video in the future.
Dancing and glazing in the studio. These plates will come out of the kiln today. Come check out the results and join the fun at The ArtWorks-Wilmington and Satellite happening today from 9 to 3!
This is a peek at the process I use to make platters. These platters are 19"! They'll be ready for purchase this upcoming 4th Friday gallery/art crawl.
This is a new piece that I'm working on. The face needs work, but I'm happy with how the body came out. This will be ready for viewing at the Fourth Friday on June 26th!
