Just finished a fun-filled night at Batty Battleship's Halloween Bash! As usual, our booth was very popular - with a line all the way down the hallway. We did 60+ henna tattoos and were able to meet lots of fun families :) See you next year!

Hi everyone! I am very sad to announce that I am officially resigning from the henna tattoo business. It has been such a fun last few years and I will definitely miss seeing all of your smiling faces! I will continue participating in only one event each year - The Batty Battleship Halloween Bash at the USS NORTH CAROLINA Battleship.
The good news is that my jewelry business is continuing to grow and expand! I have been so thankful for all of your support for my henna business & I would absolutely love if you would continue to follow me as my business continues to grow and change! The Ohio artist, who is shown here with Gorilla Family, will join dozens of other amazing professionals who repurpose materials to create beautiful work for the Déjà Vu Art and Fine Craft Show. Held on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Commons in downtown Columbus, Indiana, the event is free and open to the public.
My current creative adventure has involved re-purposing weather worn pieces of wood. I fell in love with the the decorative quotes I kept seeing on Pinterest and finally decided to make my own version. The beach-worn wood gives the signs a more earthy, rustic feel and I chose copper chain so that it would contrast nicely against the washed out paint. You can find my wooden signs at The Mermaid's Purse in Surf City, NC.

This was for the free hour of henna we gave away this summer! Some of the girls had chosen their own designs. It was definitely nice to try out something new & we loved how they turned out! Not to mention.. we had a great time hanging out with the whole family (as usual) :)

Henna Tatoos at the Mermaid's Purse
had a BLAST tonight at the Mermaid's Purse! It was great to meet so many awesome people! I'll be in Surf City again next Saturday for the Children's Fishing Event (on the pier) from 10a-2pm and then I'll be at the Mermaid's Purse from 4-7pm :)

Acoustic Soup is a philanthropic afternoon of live music and art. This reoccurring event is organized by Art Soup (a non-profit group in Wilmington, NC) and rotates through various local venues as a fundraising event. Proceeds from the event are used for the purchase of much-needed art supplies for our regional public school arts curriculum.

We're SO excited to announce that we will be a part of a wonderful new shop opening up on Surf City! The Mermaid's Purse offers hand crafted arts and crafts from Local North Carolina Artists... as well as henna tattoos, course :) I'm also a metalsmith, so you'll be seeing plenty of my jewelry there as well!
