Gorgeous set built and designed by the Technical Theatre and Design class, hilarious performances by our actors, stage-management and crew running the show like seasoned pros...not to mention the most loving and supportive company as a whole.

It may be challenging to come back to school after a blissful holiday break. But that's why we have a great show planned for you in January! It's time for the US Winter Play 'Arsenic and Old Lace'.
Everyone in Brooklyn adores the sweet old Brewster sisters who have an undying reputation of generosity and kindness.
Mortimer Brewster, their nephew, is a serious writer turned theatre critic (perish the thought) who grew up with his darling aunts in their home. Despite his fast paced sophisticated Manhattan pl***oy lifestyle, he has fallen for the girl-next-door and minister's daughter, Elaine Harper.
The sisters still take care of one of Mort's brothers who thinks he's Theodore Roosevelt, which the family treats with harmless indulgence. His other brother, who was deeply disturbed and violent, has been off in the "diamond business" for years.
Mortimer thought these were the most eccentric aspects of his family. Until...
While home visiting and planning to propose to Elaine, Mortimer finds a co**se hidden in a window seat. He starts to realize that his family is even crazier than he thought.

It is exhilarating, terrifying, thrilling, and full of hope. It means everyone is ready to play their part in telling a story and bringing a beautiful work of art to life. Actors, crew, technicians, musicians, all at the ready to show the culmination of all of their hard work and creativity...and to have fun!
We are so very grateful that we have managed, with the support of our school and CFA families, to be able to make it to PLACES.
This incredible group of people have made history again at CFA. We are still making art happen amidst a pandemic! These students have all shown the determination, patience, resilience, grace, innovation, and talent to make it possible.
They continue to be more extraordinary than the extraordinary circumstance put before them.

We are thrilled to announce our 2020-2021 season (subject to modification based on health recommendations)
Due to the pandemic, NCTC will be a virtual showcase, which we have not yet determined if we will be a part of. In lieu, we are planning a very exciting fall project; a culmination of 4 15-20 minute shows, all yet to be fully developed. They are structured in a way so as to be conducive for Green, Yellow, or Orange guidelines, for performers as well as audience members. We are looking forward to creating this unique and immersive theatrical experience! (November 6-7, 2020)

The Drowsy Chaperone 2020 - Last night, for fun and for closure, we performed a live zoom table read-thru with our students to say goodbye to what would've been another incredible Upper School Musical! Our hearts are still heavy that we never got to load-in to Thalian Hall and perform this amazing show to the audience it so richly deserved but our hearts are now full with pride saying goodbye to this show last night! We are so proud of all of the amazing hard work that our students put in to our biggest show of the season. From the student designers and crew, to our amazing actors and band performers, we CANNOT WAIT to be back in the theater and back on stage with you all! We love you all! Last night, we sat down with our four amazing Senior Stage Managers, Casey, Amanda, Tess and Katie to honor their unrivalled dedication and leadership with our theatre department and to recognize their incredible contribution to the CFA Arts over their last four years of high school! These four amazing young women have made such an impact on our department, their peers and over 20+ productions that they have so expertly managed over the years!
