The staff and volunteers were saddened to learn yesterday of the passing of Margaret Kerry, who was the model for Disney's Tinker Bell from the 1953 classic "Peter Pan."

We were all fortunate to get to meet her at the 2025 Coastal Comic Con and have Barrett Gruber from the All About Nothing Podcast - US to thank for this wonderful interview:

Greetings Wilmington!

We want to thank everyone who came out this past weekend for the 2026 Coastal Comic Con. Between awesome guests, great cosplay, amazing vendors and artists, this was a great event for the Port City.

So Day one in the books! Tons of fun had by all so come out tomorrow for day two! These two will be there til 4 pm, along with everyone else. And don’t miss their panel on Star Wars Rebels at 1 pm.

Tickets are only $20 and we open at 11 am. Come hang out!

So we know that some are disappointed. Illness and weather are beyond our control. And while it stinks, it comes with the territory.

It's posts like these that really sting.

Due to sickness, unfortunately Mr. Randy Quaid will not be appearing at the 2026 Coastal Comic Con.

But how about the last minute addition of John Schneider, coupled with X-men power couple Chris Potter (Gambit) and Lenore Zann (Rogue). Plus Star Wars Rebels Taylor Gray (Ezra Bridger) and Tiya Sircar (Sabine Wren). And let's not forget The Batman Rino Romano.

Plus we also have word that Randy will be coming to the 2027 Coastal Comic Con (yup we're already announcing it), which will be March 6 & 7, 2027 at the Wilmington Convention Center!

So look for another announcement for 2027 coming soon!
