Meredith Willson's The Music Man kicks off tomorrow night, 8 PM, at The Playhouse on Rodney Square. It's going to be FABULOUS! Our friends at Positively Philly sat down for an interview with Paul Urriola, who plays Marcellus Washburn, and talked about his experiences on his first national tour.

The Grand is deeply saddened by the passing of Gerret Copeland. For many years, Gerret and his wife, Tatiana, have been extraordinarily generous supporters of The Grand and the arts throughout the state. Most importantly, Gerret was a dear friend to all at The Grand.

His kindness, philanthropic leadership, and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Delawareans left a lasting impact on communities across our state. Through his support of organizations including The Grand, Brandywine SPCA, Delaware Art Museum, The Longwood Foundation, Kalmar Nyckel, and many more, Gerret has strengthened the institutions that enrich Delaware and touched the lives of countless individuals.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tatiana and the Copeland family. The Grand will always remember Gerret’s warm spirit and honor his remarkable legacy.

Don't miss Meredith Willson's The Music Man, June 5-7 at The Playhouse on Rodney Square. The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.
