Two great ideas for summer for all of you moms with young kids:
Buy a giant canvas, and paint on it all summer. You might end up with a great abstract.
One of my favorite things I did with my boys:
I took a poster board and asked them what they wanted to do this summer. We listed all of the items (swim, visit grandparents, go to the beach, etc). I stapled a paper pocket at the bottom, which I filled with stickers. I hung it on a wall in a hallway. Each time we did one of the events, I made sure they put a sticker under that name. At the end of the summer, we could see that we did lots of fun things.
