A new home, a new chapter, but the same passion behind everything we do.

Delaware Center For Dance has officially relocated to Newark Delaware, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome new faces into our dance family.

At DCFD, we are intentional about the training we provide. We’re building, strong technicians, confident, performance, discipline, students, and young people who understand the history and artistry behind what they do.

There’s room for everyone here, even adults! We never forget about you!

Dance is an art form, and it deserves to be treated as such. 💛

We live in a time where visibility is often confused with credibility, and popularity can overshadow years of education, discipline, and training.

Social media has created incredible opportunities for dancers, but we cannot allow trends, views, and likes to diminish the integrity of our craft.

There is a difference between knowing choreography and understanding how to teach, train, and develop dancers safely and effectively.

Trends will come and go. The foundation matters.

Keep training. Keep studying. Respect the history. Honor the work.

Dance deserves more than likes. It deserves respect.

One thing we’ll always believe at DCFD: invest in your children. 🤍

Invest in what makes them light up. Invest in their gifts. Invest in the spaces that challenge them, pour into them, and help them become who they’re meant to be.

But most importantly: listen to them. Pay attention to what they love, what they’re curious about, and where they feel most like themselves.

They only get one childhood. One season to discover, dream, try, fail, grow, and build memories they’ll carry for the rest of their lives.

The trophies will collect dust. The costumes will eventually stop fitting. But the confidence, discipline, friendships, experiences, and belief in themselves? That stays.

Give them something beautiful to remember. 💛

And don’t forget about our Adult Class Pass! Grab your pass and take advantage of our regularly scheduled adult classes throughout October.

DCFD is teaming up with Aunt Vonda’s Kitchen for our first fundraiser of the season!

🎟️ $20 Fundraiser Tickets

Choose from:

🐟 Fish Boat — 2 pieces of fried whiting, fries + coleslaw
🍗 Chicken Boat — 6 crispy wing dings, fries + coleslaw

The best part? A portion of every $20 ticket goes directly toward the DCFD dancer you choose to support, helping our families offset the costs that come along with dance training, performances, competitions, costumes and more!

Want to support DCFD as a whole? You can still purchase a ticket in advance and mention your support of DCFD or come dine with us during the fundraiser and order from the available condensed menu!

🚨 IMPORTANT: Fundraiser meals MUST be preordered and paid for by October 15 at 8:00 PM. No preorder = no guaranteed fundraiser meal!

Our tiniest dancers had their FIRST DAY of class and we can’t get over how CUTE they are!

Tiny dancers, BIG dreams! Our Tiny Tots program is the perfect introduction to dance, friendships, confidence, creativity, and so much more. Through movement and play, our little ones are learning how to follow directions, build coordination, express themselves, and discover the joy of dance; all while having FUN!

THE YEAR OF BECOMING.

A new season is here, and DCFD is stepping into something BIG. 💛

Our 2026–2027 season officially begins September 8th, and we cannot wait to welcome our dancers back into the studio!

We’re calling this The Year of Becoming; becoming stronger dancers, confident artists, disciplined students, courageous leaders, and everything we know our dancers are capable of being. This year is about growth, artistry, opportunity, community, and so much more than dance.

And DCFD family… 👀 we have some VERY exciting news to share soon. A new chapter is unfolding, and trust us, you don’t want to miss this announcement! 🤭

Registration is still OPEN! Whether you’re returning home to DCFD or joining us for the first time, there’s still time to become part of our community.

Great dance classes don’t happen by accident.

At DCFD, we believe our dancers deserve more than teachers simply walking into the studio and deciding what to teach that day. Every class should have purpose, progression, and a plan.

This season, our faculty has created structured curriculum and benchmark templates designed specifically for our dancers and their levels. We’re also introducing monthly benchmarks so our teachers have clear goals for what dancers should be learning, developing, and working toward throughout the season.

From terminology and technique to strength, artistry, musicality, flexibility, and performance quality; we want to be able to identify where our dancers are, where they’re going, and how we’re helping them get there.

Because teaching dance is more than teaching choreography.

It’s education.
It’s development.
It’s accountability.
It’s intentional training.

We’re not just filling class time at DCFD. We’re building dancers.

New season. Higher standards. Continued growth.💛
