A sneak peek at new art, see it tomorrow: Morris Museum Juneteenth Arts Celebration
Thursday, June 18, 6:00-9:00 PM

Join us for a FREE evening at the Morris Museum as we honor the holiday with a curator-led tour through our stunning indoor and outdoor galleries (6:10 PM), live DJ sets by Johnny Butler, and an inspiring conversation in the Bickford Theatre (6:45 PM). Moderated by acclaimed author Donna Walker-Kuhne, the discussion brings together artists Ron Powell and O’Neil Scott alongside gallerists Tanya Weddemire and Cheryl Mack for an evening of candid voices and shared vision.

The Morristown Juneteenth Arts Celebration is a two-event celebration that unites four non-profit organizations to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. This FREE event celebrates the African American community and invites the public to enjoy the work of local artists, food vendors, artisans, and community.
