Sadler Selby

Song Title & Show Name: "Round-Shouldered Man" from The Secret Garden

Short Bio:
Hi, I'm Sadler Selby and I am a self-proclaimed theater nerd. I'm in the 7th grade and I love singing, dancing and performing and have had the amazing opportunity to perform in some of Thalian Association's amaing shows. I miss theater a lot right now as the pandemic has really put a damper on that but I feel that intermission is OVER and excited to see live theater again and hopefully be able to perform really soon!! Thank you for supporting the arts!!

Why did you pick this song?
I picked Round-Shouldered Man because it is a very beautiful written piece and captures the bright imagination of a young child. It's also a song that is really good for my voice range.

John Aubin

Song Title & Show Name: “Green Elixir” excerpt from “No One Mourns The Wicked” from Wicked

Short Bio:
I was born in CT, moved to Carolina Beach when I was three, and I currently reside in Wilmington, NC. I started taking some acting classes with my sister before the pandemic and enjoy music. I just saw Wicked for the first time a week ago in Charlotte. I love to play with my Bakugans and Beyblades, swim, watch movies, travel, and spend time with my family and friends. I want to be a paleontologist when I grow up.

Why did you pick this song?
I like this scene from Wicked.

Yeavonne Cox

Song Title & Show Name: "Home" from the Wiz

Short Bio:
Yeavonne Cox is a graduate from CFCC Associates in Fine Arts in Music and Associates in Arts programs, a recent widow, mother, and Marine veteran. Originally from Newtown, CT, she has had a strong connection to music all her life. While in Newtown, she focused her studies on vocal performance and playing violin, cello, or bass in string orchestras. Over the years, she has made two vocal appearances on Hawaii Stars, obtained a Professional Certificate in Voice Technique and Musicianship from Berklee College of Music, played violin with the Cape Fear Community Orchestra, performed solo violin at the Cameron Arts Museum, and was part of the TACT July live performance of Beehive the Musical. Now that her family has settled in Sneads Ferry, NC she hopes to further her studies in performance music and music education."

Why did you pick this song?
I created this video for SMAST because it is a beautiful song that I had the privilege of watching Stephanie Mills perform, it is my sister's favorite song, and it is the last song my husband (may he rest in peace) told me I should sing.

Kathy Taecker

Song Title & Show Name: "The Motherhood March" from Hello Dolly

Short Bio:
I am a "drama mama" of many years and a lover of all Broadway Shows.

Why did you pick this song?
This is a fun song to sing and my grandson loves it. That has given me many opportunities to practice it.
