SKS Entertainment and Printing has been in business since 2008, with the Hall being the "missing piece" to tie everything together, all at one place, established in 2020. The Johnsons, Regina and J, along with their daughters and young granddaughters, find true joy through providing a fun atmosphere, paired with special touches from custom t-shirts, invitations, banners, and stickers to decals, hats, mouse pads, and plaques to make your special occasion unforgettable. Bounce houses, inflatable slides, throne chairs, snow cone, cotton candy, and popcorn machines are all part of what we do. Owner, Robert Johnson, also known by many as "J" and "Debo", grew up in South Carolina in a single parent household, along with his 7 siblings. The part he hated about going back to school after summer vacation was having to "...tell what we did for the summer. We didn't go anywhere like the other kids and we worked. We didn't know we were poor but hearing everyone else tell their summer stories often tempted us to come up with a fib about ours." Growing up on little, monetarily, sparked the desire for J to start a business that would make things affordable for all and provide a space for everyone to come make lasting memories. After serving 10 years in the Marine Corps and 25 years for the New Hanover County Sherriff's Department, it was time for retirement to fully pursue he and his family's desire to serve the public, friends, and family through what is now Gna's Hall and SKS Entertainment and Printing.
