Mark your calendars! The Mission Foods Winter Throwdown is coming back for our 9th year January 14-17, 2027 at Callahan Speedway in Callahan, Florida.

This has turned into a destination weekend for any flat track racer from around the world. The last few years have brought in 750-800 entries over the course of the weekend!

We are opening up the King of Throwdown 1v1 for anyone who wants to attempt to qualify for the bracket that is over 14 years old. We are also going to be doing some testing this fall with track prep ideas for that event.

Gates open at 8am…

4 loads of water by 3pm and standing water. By 7:30pm it was already dusty when I was rolling the track. I will put down a couple more loads of water in the morning, but it is August in Texas so expect a little dust. 🤷

Any Minor must have both parents signatures on waiver in order to ride  no exceptions. $20 per Rider spectators Free, but must still sign waiver.

Follow-up to yesterday’s video of the trapped racoon. Being an animal person it’s hard for me to kill for the sake of killing. Probably against my better judgement, I ended up letting him go at a creek about two miles from my house.

Pics in the comments section of what raccoons did to my ducks last summer. Started out with 7 and now down to only 2. Most wild animals will only kill what they can eat. Not raccoons, they kill anything they can.
