VFW is looking for anyone with military vehicles to participate in this year’s Willows 4th of July parade for the 250th birthday of our nation.

If you would like to drive in the parade or would like one of us to drive your military vehicle in the parade please let us know!

Last night, VFW Post 1770 and Auxiliary hosted a very special event for 7 outstanding, young men and women from Glenn County joining our armed forces.

1 Army recruit
4 Marine recruits
2 Navy Recruits

They were joined by their families and their recruiters for a ceremonial swearing in, dinner and presentation of the 250th birthday messages from each of their branches of service.

They were also presented with “Thank You for Your Service” challenge coins from the Auxiliary.

We wish them the best in their military careers and offer them our support throughout.
