Hey one and all Fiber Enthusiasts. Come out to our Fiber Frolics at the The Conestoga Area Historical Society. Bring a chair, a snack, a non alcoholic drink, bring your enthusiasm and lets chat and fiber away. If the weather is not suitable.... like too hot or rainy, we do have a nice room we can enjoy. The bosses were at the Mill today. They are keeping us in line. As you can see they are really hard workers. Greeting customers and enjoying snacks. Sadie is doing much better being here. And she does enjoy it with Molly.

Getting ready to cast on this beautiful sweater with some Ella Rae wool yarn and our own mill spun Shetland hand dyed in house. All available in the shop. If you are interested in doing this as a KAL, please let me know. It’s a great time to start your Rhinebeck sweater.

We will be closing today July 2nd and July 3rd due to the heat. The Mill is over 90 and the upstairs a/c is not sufficient. Thank you and have a week 250th Anniversary July 4th.

So in love with the flexible double points. Yes I have tried magic loop and two circulars. I am just a tried and true double point gal. And yes I can knit two at a time. Because I am a mood knitter, I use each end of the cake and start both my socks 🧦 and work on each one equally. It also eliminates second sock syndrome. What do I mean by mood knitter? Well I can be enjoying a good movie all relaxed and knitting just nicely one night and the next night my husband may have peeved me a little and I’m knitting like a tightly wound bobcat. So whatever my mood, I knit equally on both each night and know the socks will come out equally. It’s a beautiful day here in Lancaster PA. I hope yours is too! Happy Wednesday Everyone…… we’re cranking at the Mill. Color blending, carding, dye pots….. whoooo hooo. I do have a video from last week to post so that’ll be coming up. We’ve been happily busy playing with wool and alpaca. Tonight I’ll be at the sewing machine and cranking out some orders. But in the meantime….. enjoy your day.

We are ready for you at the Central PA Fiber Festival. Lots of fiber goodies and other items. Teas, bonsai, pottery, jewelry etc. And demos….. sheep herding, sheep shearing, weaving, sock knitting etc. Stop by. We’re only 2ish hours from Lancaster.

Another beautiful day at MDSW. Stop by Barn 5 Booth 11 and pick up some amazing roving and yarn. Or drop off fleeces for processing. We are taking fleeces for roving only.
