Atom Bomb Tattoo

Atom Bomb Tattoo Please visit atombombtattoo.com / check out my instagram to see my work! All of our artists will work by appointment, but walk-ins are available.

Atom Bomb Tattoo is located in Willoughby, Ohio, 15 minutes east of downtown Cleveland. We do things differently than most tattoo shops, and are proud to be greater Cleveland's first and only all custom tattoo studio. Our philosophy is that each person is an individual, and everyone should have the opportunity to sit down with an artist and plan what they want their body to look like. Whether it's a tiny Kanji character, a full sleeve, body suit, or anything in between, every tattoo should be a customized artistic masterpiece. We approach every project, no matter how large or small, with a total commitment to quality. We welcome our clients to bring in anything from a simple idea to completed artwork. Most of the time, we will be able to draw what you need for you, or in many cases, on you! Large work needs to be planned in advance - for this, a consultation is always recommended. At Atom Bomb we take cleanliness and sterility seriously. We are one of northeast Ohio's few fully disposable tattoo studios. Autoclave sterilization of multiple-use items is the industry standard, but we've taken that to the next level by completely eliminating reusable items from our work environment. Every single item used in our procedures is single-use, professionally sterilized by the manufacturer, and disposed of at the end of the session. So if you want beautiful, one of a kind tattoo work, and you'd like to be tattooed in a friendly, relaxed environment, give us a call. You will probably never want to be tattooed anywhere else!

The madness... or genius... of M.C. Escher! This was a lot more fun than it looked. The hardest part was actually getting the stencil placed. Tattooing it was actually pretty easy, if you don't mind having your eyes crossed for a while.

Semi-abstract rendition of lightning through windswept clouds. This is the first sitting on what will be a sleeve.

Honestly, this type of work is up there with black and gray realism in my "favorite things to do" list. When doing realism, the mission is "how do I make these things fit in the space and look cool?". When doing abstract work, you have total freedom to conform the design to the space, and that makes the right side of my brain really happy!

The new space!

I'm actually just posting this for later comparison - right now it couldn't possibly be more generic. I've got countertops and cabinets being made, artwork to hang... but I really do love it, even in its barebones state.

Also, having a sink right in your work space is awesome.

Here's a new in-progress look at the Wizard of Oz half sleeve! All the characters are done, next we're adding border and background elements.

I took these right before we began work, so everything here is healed.

ATOM BOMB IS MOVING!

On Sep 1st, our new address will be 35104 Euclid Ave, unit 310d (1 block east of our current location).

Dave Chercourt will be moving to a private office at the above address, and will continue working under the Atom Bomb name.

Katherina Newcomb and Lola Cavotta Inkistry will each be going to work at other locations as well, follow them on their socials.

We're leaving a ton of great memories behind, and parting as friends.

In the end, paying retail storefront prices for a space we're not using as a retail storefront didn't make sense, so we decided not to renew our lease when it came due.

We're all pretty excited about the directions we're heading, so keep on following us as we head out to keep doing great tattoo work!

Dave Chercourt: A finished view of the inside of Marc Pengal's battle-damaged chain mail armor sleeve.

I'll post the whole thing when I get photos of it. This was kind of a candid shot I grabbed while we were talking, and I love the amount of depth and texture we were able to create.

Also, if I never have to tattoo chain mail again, I'll be okay with that. 😁

Dave Chercourt: I always love it when someone gets their first tattoo and they just do it right - no "starter tattoo" for this guy. I love it even more when they sit in the chair like this is what they were born to do!

It was a pleasure, Noah. Looking forward to the next one.

Fresh work.
