I took on a project!
I was super nervous to do this project for my neighbor, but she didn’t like her tile after we installed brand new cabinets and countertops, so we decided to paint the tile!
This is not a very common practice, because we all know that paint doesn’t stick to tile right?
Well after doing a lot of research on painting tile I found some products to use that was almost guaranteed to work. Sherwin-Williams is my go to for paint. They have amazing products and after a lot of research I decided to use their extreme bond primer to get the paint to adhere to the tile floor. Next I used a two-part epoxy semigloss white to coat the floor and a two part-epoxy semi gloss gray to sponge in my floor stencils!
This project has been complete for about a week.
My neighbors love it!
As you can see I went for a different look when I put the tile stencils down I used an 18 inch tile stencil to cover 4 9 x 9 tiles at one time to give it the appearance that the tiles were larger. This project took multiple people to get it all sanded primed and prepped for paint and about four days😬
But the end result is AMAZING!!!
