LEARN TO CLOG‼️A new Intro to Clogging Class starts JUNE 9th! No dance experience needed! It’s a “Learn from Scratch” class! Sign up today!!!! Details follow⬇️
- WHERE? First Baptist Church of Williston, FL!
- WHEN? 5:30 - 6:15pm starting June 9th, continuing every Tuesday.
- WHAT TO EXPECT: This class is designed for beginners with no prior clogging experience. Clogging steps will be taught in a slow, repetitive manner. After becoming comfortable with the basic movements & sounds, you’ll learn how to transition from one step to another to dance fun clogging routines!
- WHO IS TEACHING? Kathy Lynch, FCC Florida Certified Clogging Instructor and Instructor for the Mustang Cloggers.
WHAT AGE GROUP IS THIS CLASS FOR? The program, music and pace of the class will be tailored for Adults however all ages are welcome to join the fun.
- HOW MUCH IS THE CLASS? We are a non-profit. There is no charge for the class however donations are appreciated. Your contributions will be given to the church for the use of air conditioned space and will also be utilized to offset-set some clogging related expenses such as speakers, microphones, signage, hosted clogging events, annual music licensing, etc.
Music licenses are needed by clogging instructors to cover the music played at classes, workshops, exhibitions, competitions and dances throughout the year.
Donation buckets will be set out at every class for whenever you’d like to make a contribution.
- HOW DO I SIGN UP? Simply comment on this post or message me to reserve your spot! Hurry! Space is limited!!!
- DO I NEED CLOGGING SHOES? No, before investing in clogging shoes, you can start in any flat smooth-soled shoe that slides & doesn’t grip the floor. (FYI Clogging shoes are similar to tap shoes with an extra metal plate attached to the toe & heel)
- WHAT CLOTHING SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS? Work out style clothing or anything you are comfortable moving in! Bring a water bottle.
- WILL I HAVE HOMEWORK? Practice is not required but it is encouraged! Practice helps build muscle memory, improves rhythm & timing and is great cardio! Videos of the steps & dances you learn in class will be posted on Facebook for those who wish to practice at home.
- WILL I BE ABLE TO PERFORM WITH THE MUSTANG CLOGGERS? You can clog just for fun & exercise but if you’d like to perform with the group there will be opportunities in the future!
- DO YOU HAVE CLASSES FOR EXPERIENCED CLOGGERS? Yes! Please message me for more information!
- CAN I ATTEND OTHER CLOGGING CLASSES? Absolutely! An Intermediate level clogging class will follow the Intro to Clogging class. You are always welcome to stick around to watch or participate!
