We had an amazing time with the .ii crew this winter.
Fortunate to have these guys in a few times for their yearly recording hangs. Lots of cool stuff going on here. Made great use of the vibraphone too. Go check out their albums!

Huron high symphony band. Pretty crazy having a 64-piece orchestra in. Definitely limited on space for microphones but we pulled it off. This is a project Ben and Robert have been dreaming up for quite some time. Stoked to see it come together 🎶

Throwing it back to 2017/18. Hyms of the Huron was one of the first projects Ben Lorenz got to dig into as a producer here at Willis. Perhaps the first records we tackled as a team. So many great songs on this record.

new record "cabin in the sky" is out now. the group's first album since the death of Trugoy the Dove in 2023. This was one of the last string sessions Ben and I got to work on together with back in May. So many great reviews about this album. Featuring some of best string arrangement. Check it out!

Hot release alert 🚨 completion of Giacomo Puccini's 'Turandot' is out on all platforms.
We got to record soprano part here at Willis. Yuma Kagiyama will be skating his free skate to it at the Winter Olympics in Milan. Honored to be a part of such a magnificent piece.

We're going to start regularly featuring records Ben worked on here at Willis. First up is .music new record Lie to me. Tracked around February 2024, released this past November. A brilliant blend of mid century night club jazz that throws a sho tune. We're proud of everyone involved in making this happen.

We started recording this EP at Willis Sound in 2017, and it will finally be released in about 10 days. The project sat unfinished for years until 2023, when Ben said, “I want to finish the EP we never completed!” as his final request for October Babies. I'm SO glad that he asked us to do it! Yes, we could reunite through the process. We went back to it, completed the EP, and chose to wait on the release, while Ben focused on his recovery. We weren’t able to have a release show with him, but I found footage from our recording sessions. So instead of a release party, I’m sharing this now. This is one of the songs from the EP. Hope you enjoy ❤️
