This working artist's seasonal studio exists by way of Zoom sessions and through outdoor home visits until June 2022 when I will offer indoor studio

****Services Offered****
ART CLASSES offered, additional to ART COURSES (All Levels Drawing/Intro Acrylic Painting/Explorations with Sculpture/ Basic Screen Printing), including Screen Printed Portraits, Automatic Art, Brayer Painting, my multi-media fav combo: Creative Expression with Pastels/Watercolor Crayon/Acrylic, Artist Books, Fun with Photocopy Transfers (Original Method), and Portrait Drawing in Pencil. No experience is necessary. We explore different art media until something fits. Having a steady dialog on this subject is beneficial to the participant and also their creative process. ART BUDDY and ART COMPANION are similar, but Art Buddy caters to younger people who have interest in or require recreational breaks, though the structure is loose for both.
**FEES**
I am currently available by Zoom and payment through Paypal. In April I will be driving up to an hour away for in-person requested visits outdoor, indoor by June through Aug. My fee for gas at that maximum distance is 20.00 for the 2 hr round trip. Additional fees would include my hourly for driving, in that case 30.00 at my lowest hourly rate. Materials not included per session can cost from 5-20.00 depending on the course/class. I also have discounted new and used materials in the studio that I can prioritize when necessary. We may be limited in these scenarios depending on our work space, but I will make all of these experiences worth your time and money. ****About the Artist/Teacher/ Mentor/ Buddy/ Companion****
Devon has worked as a private art teacher with the former business from 2016-2021. She has a BFA in sculpture from UCONN and spent 3.5 years at RISD for graphic design. Primarily she focuses on the skills she developed in high school at Norwich Free Academy, drawing, printmaking, and painting. She enjoys experimenting with all sorts of media and techniques, but especially loves found art assemblage and photography of scenes with miniatures.
****Teaching Style****
Generally my direction with teaching is up to the other person with regard to art skills they want to improve. Accomplishing the goals set for the class/ course itself are less important than their comfort with the process, i.e. not feeling rushed or stressed. The hope is for us to remain in sync/flow as long as possible together with each session. I will be participating as well as teaching. We can break at any time for recreation. People taking the class/ courses are not locked in by paying ahead if they do not want to continue. I will provide participant review forms regularly to stay accountable, keeping track to work on improving my skills and offerings.
