Greetings community members who have long supported the important mission of ArtSpace Windham Gallery—to enrich the community by providing access to prime exhibition space for arts of every medium. Regrettably, ArtSpace Windham Gallery remains on hiatus, initially resulting from the pandemic, followed by a change in ownership. Artspace Windham Gallery began as, and remains, a volunteer initiative (run in coordination with ownership). Please continue to bear with us as the concept develops for the Gallery's next iteration. Community updates will be provided here.

WHAT DOES PEACE LOOK LIKE TO YOU?

An exhibition of 30 works of art from among the thousands made by youths in 73 countries.

Gala Reception (with refreshments) will feature remarks from Tsipi Ben Haim of New York (founder of CITYarts) as well as remarks from local dignitaries.

AREA SCHOOLS WILL BE PARTICIPATING in this opportunity to make Pieces for Peace to build bridges of cultural understanding between American youth and their peers from around the world.

This event is sponsored by the Curriculum of Hope for a Peaceful World, a local group of women educators who have been promoting peace activities and curriculum for more than 30 years.

This project features pieces of choreography captured with long exposure photography to reveal trails of light left behind by the dancer. The exhibit includes photography, projection, and a six foot tall interactive cube all created with the aim of revealing to the observer the hidden patterns of the moving human body.

Parking is available in the adjacent Thread Mill Lot, but only in the designated Art Space parking spots. There is additional parking on the street, Jilson Square, or at the Farmers’ Market (corner of Main and Jackson Sts.)
