Hello Friends! We haven't forgotten all of the amazing folks at Williams College and Williams Dining! Check out this recent conversation with Allison Orr and your master baker Jerry D'Achille. Sending LOVE to all of you and Happy Graduation!

Master Italian cook and baker Jerry D’Achilles has been “on the job” for over 70 years.

He began baking as a boy in a small town in Italy and continued developing his trade when he arrived in New York City in 1951.

Today, Jerry works in the bake shop at Williams College, where he shared his wisom, talents, and some baked treats in Forklift Danceworks’ 2018 production of Served: Williams College.

Listen to his recent conversation with choreographer Allison Orr to hear what keeps Jerry going after all these years of baking and how working with Forklift opened his mind to new ideas.

As we celebrate our 20th year, we’re reflecting on the people we’ve danced with and the performances we’ve created together.

Meet Jerry in our On the Job portrait here! https://medium.com/on-the-job/on-the-job-jerry-dachilles-3f2d7b262480

What a week with the amazing Williams College Dining Services staff! I can’t wait to be back with Krissie, Clara Pinsky and the rest of our team in January. I’m grateful to the dozens of staff members who let me shadow, work with, and interview them this week. They were gracious, open and even entertaining all hours of the day and night. Here are just a few highlight pics from the week.
