🌈👠 I have been waiting to share this one… WE’RE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD! 💚✨

As the Founder & Artistic Director of Williamston Youth Theatre, there are certain moments that make me stop and think about why we started WYT in the first place—and this is definitely one of them.

I am SO incredibly excited and proud that we will be bringing the iconic The Wizard of Oz to our community this December! 🌪️🌈

For me, WYT has always been about so much more than putting on a great show. It’s about creating opportunities for local kids to discover their talents, build confidence, make friendships, take chances, find where they belong, and experience the absolute magic of theatre. 🎭

And none of it happens alone. I feel incredibly lucky to do this alongside my amazing husband, wonderfully talented friends, our incredible staff, and the parent volunteers who give so much of themselves to make these experiences possible for our students. It truly takes a village—and we have one pretty amazing village. 💚

Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves, follow that Yellow Brick Road, and create some magic together.

I can’t wait to get to work—and I can’t think of a better group of people to go see the Wizard with! ✨👠🌈

🎭 Now Hiring: Part-Time Youth Theatre Director! 🎭

Williamston Youth Theatre is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and inspiring Youth Theatre Director to join our growing team!

If you have a passion for theatre education, enjoy working with children and teens, and love helping young performers build confidence both on and off the stage, we'd love to hear from you.

✨ Position Highlights:
• Part-time, seasonal position with evening rehearsals
• Opportunity to direct productions for students in 4th-12th grade
• Choreography and/or Music Directing experience is a plus, but not required
• Supportive, collaborative leadership team—you'll work alongside dedicated board members, volunteers, and production staff
• Potential for additional directing opportunities throughout the year

🎭🎶 Summer Theatre & Music Camps are underway at Williamston Youth Theatre!

Some sessions are already FULL, but we still have limited openings available in select camps through July 31st.

Whether your child is brand new to theatre or already loves performing, our camps are designed to help students grow both on and off the stage.

👧🧒 Ages 8–17
✅ No theatre experience required
✅ Small group sizes for personalized instruction
✅ Private lessons included during the week
✅ Fun, supportive environment

Students build valuable life skills including:

🎭✨ Step Behind the Curtain This Summer! ✨🎭

Join Williamston Youth Theatre's Amazing Tech Week Camp July 20–24 and discover the exciting world of theatre beyond the spotlight!

Designed for students ages 9–17, this hands-on camp combines backstage theatre skills with fun, engaging activities that help students build confidence, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Students will explore:
🎬 Lighting, sound, props, and stage management
🎭 Improv games and creative challenges
🗣 Public speaking and communication skills
⭐ Leadership and teamwork
💜 Self-confidence and problem-solving
🎯 Responsibility, creativity, and collaboration

📅 July 20–24
