DRUMROLL PLEASE…..

Ok, now I have your attention. lol. Last Monday evening we (along with my friends from church…Stephanie, Stacey & Jessica) cooked supper and took it to the Williamsburg Nazarene Church where at that point they had been feeding the town an evening meal for about 10 days already.

It was heartwarming to see the church with their open doors & them serving and caring for those affected by the flooding. Williamsburg had not been mentioned initially in all the devastating flood story but as the days unfolded they found themselves in dire straits & finally put out a plea for help.

That night we heard so many times of the heroic work the fire department had done to save homes in Williamsburg. We also discovered that in the process of days upon days of pumping water that 2 of their vehicles were now nonfunctional. These are essential in fire protection & emergency rescue for our community.

We knew we were having a concert the coming Saturday & decided we could invite the community to join us in attending & taking a love offering that night to cover the cost of those repairs. I thought if we could just raise a couple thousand dollars that would help a lot. We put together a gofundme…rounded up a few volunteers (thanks Rhi, Rodney & Michelle), and put a plan together… Goal - $2,000.

That night was beautiful. Perfect weather. So many local friends attended. So many families with kids. Resting. Smiling. Relaxing. The firemen were our guests and seemed to appreciate the fact that so many of you came out to support them. And…just shortly before it started…I received confirmation that we had secured a private donor to match our donations!!!!

Ok…ok…enough already….DRUMROLL PLEASE….

TOGETHER with money you all donated in the boot, our silent auction money, portion of profits from ticket sales & our very generous match…working together we raised within 1 week….

📣Enjoy the farm. Admission fee required. $5 per person to enter. Stroll the farm, take selfies, walk the new trail, do the scavenger hunt. Additional $20 to cut a vase of flowers or do the flower bar.

📣Professional photographers bring your clients!! We are a photographers dream!! AND we have SUNFLOWERS! We have Props! We have gorgeous areas!! You must complete our registration form by email or you can do it that night. The photographers annual fee is $25 & then $5 each admission. Your clients will pay $5 per person to enter just like everyone else

📣LUXURY PICNICS
Must be preordered in advance. You can respond on this thread or text/message me. Here’s the details….$199 for a group of 4- includes admission, COMPLETE picnic for 4 (charcuterie, sandwiches, 2 salads, chips, dessert board), drinks, FLOWERS and a fun new seating area! A couples picnic for 2 is $100. It’s a DELICIOUS Deal. lol Thank you Radford's Meat Market & Deli East for partnering with us on this.

We know you’ve been hearing about the heroic efforts of our local firefighters. They worked nonstop for days & pumped over 10 million gallons of water out of basements in an effort to save residents homes. Two of their vehicles (Rescue #22 & Tanker #23 ) are now non functional & need repairs after all this. These vehicles are vital to the community for fire protection & in responding to automobile accidents. We would love to help with the repair costs. We hope you will participate in this important cause with us.

For those who can’t be there in person or who are wanting to donate by credit card….

What a great concert last night! 🎶
Perfect weather & a lovely community experience as we honored our local fire department! 🚒

We will leave the go fund me page live through Monday night at midnight for those still wanting to participate to this great cause.
Yes, I’m sure they will get grant money in the future but they have real needs now that we want to make sure get taken care of.
