🎺 We’re $610 into our Pass the Brass campaign!

Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared so far. We’re already $610 toward our $3,300 goal to purchase 10 more instruments for DoG Street Music’s free community loaner program.

That means we’re getting closer to putting 7 trumpets and 3 trombones into the hands of students who are ready to make music.

And this is why we’re doing it.

For many of our students, brass instruments are more than something they want to learn. They hear Banda, Mariachi, brass bands, and other musical traditions connected to their families and communities. They can see themselves reflected in the music they want to play.

An instrument can become a connection between where a student comes from and who they see themselves becoming.

We’ve already watched 10 students fall in love with playing an instrument because they had access to one through our loaner program. We want to help more students experience that same opportunity.

These instruments will be passed from student to student for years to come.

We’re not just passing instruments. We’re passing opportunity. ❤️

If you’ve already donated, thank you. If you can share this campaign with a friend, family member, or someone who believes in music education, that helps us tremendously.
