🇺🇸 America Turns 250… and we’re throwing one heck of a party! 🇺🇸

Friends, we couldn’t be more excited to announce our plans for America’s 250th Birthday celebration! 🎆🎇

We’ll kick off the holiday weekend on Thursday, July 2nd with the Great American Dance Party on the historic Palace Green in Colonial Williamsburg. Expect swingin’ tunes, packed dance floor, and plenty of patriotic spirit as we celebrate in one of America’s most iconic settings. Even better, our friends, Truetone Honeys will get the party started! 🎙️🎶

Then, on July 4th, we’ll head to Yorktown—the very place where American independence was secured—to help celebrate our nation’s birthday! 🇺🇸 We’ll be performing on the Riverwalk Landing Stage leading right up to Yorktown’s spectacular fireworks display at 9:15 PM. Come early and enjoy a full day of family activities, festivities, food, and fun along the waterfront.

There are a lot of ways to celebrate America’s 250th, but there’s only one place where you can celebrate it where history was actually made.

Grab your friends, bring your dancing shoes, and join us in Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown as we celebrate 250 years of freedom, music, and American spirit!

Both events are FREE and open to the public. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🇺🇸🎶✨

Any time that it takes me this long to post after a big show, it’s always because I just can’t find the words.

Our show at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen with the Richmond Symphony was absolutely magical… and one that we’ll certainly never forget. We have dreamed of this collaboration for years! 🤩🤩 To perform some of the most beautiful music written in the 20th century, how it was intended to be performed… with the power of a full big band and symphony behind us… well it just doesn’t get any better than that.

To be on a stage with that many passionate, hard-working musicians… from the symphony to all of our long time Good Shot Big Band guys… it’s incredible! ❤️

HUGE SHOUT-OUT and THANK YOU to our friends at Glen Allen, Paul and K, for making this dream a reality, as well as the amazing staff!

Thank you to the INCREDIBLE Richmond Symphony and their fantastic Associate Conductor, Hae Lee for being so awesome to work with and bringing that passion to the show! 🙌

Today marks the 13th anniversary of GSJ’s 2nd gig ever. It was a friend’s wedding cocktail hour at Petersburg’s historic “Union Station”. 🚂

I know this is a super random thing to celebrate, but I saw the Facebook memory earlier and it got the original trio (Brett, Mike, and I) talking.

Brett mentioned that it’s pretty cool to think of all of the awesome opportunities that we’ve had over the years… and pretty crazy to think it resulted from 3 dudes getting together to mess around with some country music and have some drinks on Wednesday nights. 🤠🥃 😮

13 years ago we played our first trio gig as GSJ… and this Friday we’ll be on stage with the Richmond Symphony! 🎻🎻🎻

This special show with GSJ and the Symphony this Friday was our quickest to ever sell out… and it’s another fantastic reminder that we couldn’t have done one bit of this without the incredible love and support from all of you over these last 13 years. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for being so good to us!

WOWZA! Tickets for our HUGE show on June 14th at Indian Fields Tavern with Sweden’s Queen of Swing, Gunhild Carling sold out in exactly 2 weeks! 🤯😮 We talked with our awesome friends at the venue on Friday and decided to open up another 75 tickets. We’re now down to the final 50. This will be it! If you have any friends or family that would like to join us for THE party of the Summer, make sure to spread the word ans let them know! 🎉🎉🎉
