A Message from Michele King (Director of Esports)
"I teach SPCH 411, an Independent Study, and I would like to use it to offer students credit for researching and participating in esports for the fall 2020 semester!"

3 students will work closely with her on the ground level of developing Esports. Students can choose to take SPCH 411 for 1, 2, or 3 credits, depending on how we identify the course work.

The main focus is Esports and communication, for example:
pro at social media (to create and do our Twitter, Facebook, and Blog)
someone to explore the wellness of gamers (so they will be working with the varsity league)
commentators and shoutcasters who will explore and analyze elements of communication in esports
data scientists wanting to analyze esports analytics
musicians/historians/storytellers for in-game content
These are just a few of the ideas and open to suggestions.
