Still taking it all in. 💜

Ten years of MEND THE HILLS, and somehow this one felt especially meaningful.

Saturday night was a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together — not because our journeys have all looked the same, but because we believe people deserve hope, connection, and somewhere to belong along the way.

There were so many moments I wish I could bottle up: the music, the conversations, the hugs, the people dancing, the familiar faces and the brand-new ones. Seeing our community gathered together to celebrate recovery is something I’ll carry with me for a long time.

To every artist, sponsor, vendor, volunteer, partner, team member and every single person who showed up — thank you. You helped make this night what it was.

A reminder that we may all have different journeys and a few rough landings along the way, but nights like this remind us that none of us have to find our destination alone.

🎶 MEND THE HILLS 2026 — KNOW BEFORE YOU GO! 🎶

We’re almost there! 💜💛 Before you head to Historic Downtown Wilkesboro for the 10th Annual MEND THE HILLS, here are a few things to know to make your evening easy, comfortable and fun!

🚗 PARKING
Free parking is available throughout Historic Downtown Wilkesboro, including public lots and on-street parking. Please avoid parking along yellow curbs.

🍴 FOOD TRUCKS + VENDORS
Come hungry! Food trucks begin serving at 5:00 PM, and we’ll have vendors, community organizations, recovery resources and more throughout the event.

🪑 BRING A CHAIR OR BLANKET
A limited number of Adirondack-style chairs are available first come, first served. Feel free to bring your own lawn chair or blanket and find a spot on the lawn.

🧊 COOLERS + OUTSIDE FOOD WELCOME
You’re welcome to bring outside food, coolers and non-alcoholic drinks. Please, no glass containers or alcohol.

💜 A RECOVERY-FRIENDLY EVENT
Mend the Hills is intentionally a Recovery-Friendly event, so alcohol will not be sold or permitted within the event. However, our amazing downtown partners at Merle's would love to have you stop by while you’re downtown! We’re grateful for the local businesses that help make Historic Downtown Wilkesboro such a great place to gather.

Bring the whole family! Mend the Hills is free and open to everyone.

🐾 PETS
Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome.

🚭 SMOKE-FREE VENUE
The Wilkesboro Community Commons is smoke-free. Smoking, va**ng and e-cigarettes are not permitted inside the Commons.
