brother spying on and teasing her. She had a love for soul music, especially Michael Jackson, “I Want You Back”, and Whitney Houston. She started songwriting around age 8. Her dream was to be a famous singer and songwriter. She played organ by ear, taking some lessons in high school, later taking some guitar lessons; however, not as many as she wanted to take hoping to get back into learning. Her father Joe played guitar in bands in Pittsburgh later revealing he also wrote songs never turning them into anyone. Her great grandparents, the Hickok’s were music composers, and teachers her family tree states on her mother Carol’s side. She sang for many upon request even on school buses, performed in school musicals, danced in cheerleading, sang in weddings, also singing the National Anthem at numerous events, even getting a call back from The Pittsburgh Penguins from a tape she sent in. She almost got hired to sing backup for country stars at age 16 after sending in photos and three songs (Patsy Cline, Leanne Rimes, & Lila McCann); however, they were afraid she was too young, and her parents were too busy running a family business to be able to transport her across PA weekly. They even asked for additional recordings and photos. Additionally, she sang hooks for many rappers in the Pittsburgh area and sang for a local band. She finally had success with songwriting, after working at it for decades writing a song called I Wanna Dance in which she received positive feedback from Justin Newsome (talent scout American Idol/America's Got Talent), & Marcus Bell (Credits: Katy Perry, Nicki Manaj, Lady Gaga) [she contacted through Linkedin] stating she needed a Producer. She then reached out to Troy Mitchell though Linkedin noticing he worked as a Producer with Teddy Riley, Timbaland, as well as a few others, and was signed to the same label as Salt-N-Pepa with his rap group 3 Feet. Troy told her he saw potential in I Wanna Dance and agreed to Produce it for her, as well as some other songs Jackie wrote. They made an EP together. Jackie joined with distro company Sounds in Maine in August 2022. They were involved in writing a few successful songs with country star Gabby Barrett, who also placed on American Idol. She released four singles with Firebird Sounds, to include Superstar featuring Tha Rift. Tha Rift (Trevor Donnelly) a former Navy Veteran was signed to Rostrum Records with Mac Miller, and where Wiz Khalifa also started. Jackie released a song called "To Be Mine" featuring rapper Hollywood Swervo (Thug Life ft. FBG Duck) out of Minneapolis in June 2024. Swervo was known for a huge following on Vine doing comedy skits & music. In April 2023, Jackie also got signed by Druski to Coulda Been Records, his fake record label, after she shocked him by singing Weak by SWV! In June 2024 an A&R/Producer for the artist development branch of Cash Money Records Jesse Christophr liked songs Jackie sent him. She started writing many songs with him, later being introduced to Redd Eyezz (James Pierre) at a Halloween party in Canada. Jackie was up first to perform in front of him and was super nervous having anxiety. Redd Eyezz is a former rapper, and the former manager of Kodak Black. He's very close friends with Birdman, Pharrel Williams, and DJ Khaled. He still helps give Jackie advice and gave Jackie positive feedback on her music, and voice. Jackie's now being managed by a former Veteran, (she loves giving him work as she's a HUGE supporter of the US Military). She's had every guy in her family serve in some branch, and her grandfather was a Veteran of 3 Wars, World War II, The Korean War, & Vietnam. Her manager Faheem also used to work for the major labels in the DC area being introduced to him by a former DJ & close songwriting friend in Virginia. Jackie's aware he was close to DMX (The Roughriders) & Jadakiss. He's worked with many stars when they came to the DC area. She's excited to work with him as he's a hard worker, and really nice person.
