Can we talk about something most parents don’t think about when planning their baby’s first ear piercings? 👀

It’s not just about picking the cutest little earrings!

✨ Placement matters! Those tiny earlobes are still growing, so thoughtful placement and symmetry are important.

✨ Jewelry matters! Not all earrings are created equal. Choosing appropriate, high-quality materials can help minimize irritation during healing.

✨ Healing matters! Just because those little ears look healed on the outside doesn’t mean they’re fully healed on the inside.

✨ The experience matters! A calm environment, proper technique, and a provider who takes their time can make all the difference.

As a nurse, I believe your baby’s first piercings deserve more than just a quick appointment. They deserve patience, education, and attention to every little detail. 💕

Mom added a beautiful helix, while her daughter came in to get her ears re-pierced after her first experience didn’t go quite as planned.

🍼✨ Thinking about getting your baby’s ears pierced? Here are a few things parents often ask me before their appointment!

💛 How young do you pierce?
I offer lobe piercings starting at 8 weeks old.

🩺 Who performs the piercing?
Piercings are performed by a licensed nurse using a sterile, single-use piercing system.

✨ What kind of earrings do you use?
I offer earrings made with skin-friendly materials, including medical-grade plastic and implant-grade titanium, with lots of adorable options to choose from.

🧼 What about aftercare?
You’ll leave with aftercare solution, easy-to-follow instructions, and continued support if you have questions while those tiny ears are healing.

💕 What if my baby cries?
That’s completely normal! I work efficiently while still taking the time needed for proper placement. Most of the time, the tears are short-lived and we’re back to cuddles (or the binky 😉) pretty quickly.
