𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘦: 𝘈 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 is an exhibition created by the Ulrich Museum of Art and Envision Arts Center that invites people to experience art in ways that go beyond just looking at it.

Instead of treating accessibility as an add-on, the exhibition makes it the starting point. It asks: What if art wasn’t only about sight? What if touch, sound, smell, and movement were just as important?

Museums have traditionally focused on visual experiences, which can leave many people out especially those with different abilities. Beyond Bare challenges that idea by highlighting artists and audiences who experience the world in diverse ways.

Beyond Bare proposes a different kind of museum one that doesn’t center only vision but embraces multiple ways of experiencing the world. It shows that when accessibility comes first, it doesn’t limit creativity, it expands it. The result is a richer, more inclusive, and more engaging way to connect with art.

At the Ulrich, our docent mission is to create 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗢𝗬 and there's nothing we love more than sharing our incredible collection with the next generation of artists, thinkers, and creators.
