So honored to find that all three of my pieces in the Land That I Love exhibit at Mark Arts were sold. I don’t take photographs to become famous some day (lol) I do them to bring joy to someone’s day, to show the different perspectives of the beauty of Kansas, but most importantly I do it because I love it. Having someone appreciate all that is just icing on the cake.

Being an artist is not an easy road. Not going to lie, photographic art at times seems bumpier than most. I can see something beautiful and capture its raw beauty but others may not see what I do. All of that is ok, artists get it. Though at times it can be discouraging when you feel you don’t belong in the “art world”.
Well today I was given an Award of Merit at the Hutchinson Art Fair for my “stand-out” work. It was a gentle reminder that I needed and that means the world to me.
