Many great thanks to everyone and all who came out last night to celebrate 12 years of River City Pipes & Drums. Nothing like having your own private pub for a few hours! Special thanks to the Brass Taproom for hosting us, and very special thanks to dancers Anya & Matt Hamilton for making the night's performances complete. Congratulations to our prize winners! Please share a selfie with your Highland heirloom if you can. Anyone who has pictures or video of Bandiversary, please share here! The Pipers & Drummers of River City are grateful to you all, and look forward to the next 12 years.

280 years ago, the last pitched battle fought in Scotland lasted less than an hour. The Jacobite cause suffered total defeat, with casualties of as many as 2000 dead and wounded. This brief moment set the course for Scottish and British history, and so world history, thereafter. The Battle of Culloden, 16 April 1746.
