Wichita Shakespeare Company is an all volunteer, 501(c)3 not for profit theatrical organization based in Wichita, Kansas. It is our mission to provide quality, free of charge performances of Shakespearean plays in a setting that is accessible, and provide an opportunity for those interested in working in the arts to develop their skills through practical application. WSC presents the Shakespeare in the Park series each summer in parks in the Wichita area.

This weekend!

Auditions for As You Like It, our June 2026 production, directed by Kevin Sowers, will be March 28th and 29th, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church.
There will be cold readings from the script. Performances will be Friday thru Sunday, the 1st 3 weekends in June. Rehearsals begin April 7th. Most actors will not need to be there every night, nor needed the entire night that you are called, until we get closer to tech week. Any questions? [email protected]

"In 2007, Belsan’s daughter encouraged him to audition for a role in Shakespeare in the Park. Since then, Belsan has been involved with the production every year. He has also been involved with The Guild Hall Players from St. James Episcopal Church in Wichita, and the Wichita Company Theatre. As an ELA teacher, he found a way to co-mingle his love of theatre with his passion for teaching. "

After 26 years of teaching at Derby High School, Edward Belsan continues to bring his flair for teaching and theatre to the classroom. Belsan, who teaches AP literature and English
