“Fly In For Fun” Mural ICT was created by Angie Evans in participation with Douglas Design District’s Avenue Art Days 2019. The idea behind this design is that Wichita and Kansas is known as a fly-over state but there are so many cool and fun things to do here! The bright design was painted over a black background to make the colors stand out and become a great local gem for selfies!

Avenue Art Days is a Douglas Design District initiative aimed at harnessing young, creative talent in Wichita to improve the aesthetic of Douglas Avenue and surrounding areas.

Avenue Art Days is bringing color and giving a voice to artists and designers in Wichita. Since 2015, Avenue Art Days has held five events, which included hundreds of volunteers and gained the attention of the entire city. From news outlets, to out-of-town visitors, to the residents that live, work, play and pray through the District every day, people are taking notice of the vibrancy and commerce that exists on our stretch of Douglas Avenue . With over 60+ murals in the District, we are providing community, connectivity and creativity in order to improve economic development, public and mental health, and perception in Wichita.
