Looking for a KIDS CLASS designed for afterschool entertainment? Join us October 21 from 4 until 6 p.m. for the Kids Clay Whistle Class, only $35. Making these whistles incorporates pinch pot, slab rolling, and sculpture skills. Once the basic whistle is crafted, kids sculpt the whistle into their favorite critter. Francisco wanted to surprise Frank Sr. with a chance to make another shoe! Sr. was in 5th grade when that art teacher thrust a ball of clay into his hands, and he pinched and pulled it into a little black shoe. Eight on a Date was the perfect format to celebrate Frank Sr.'s 80+ birthday celebration, complete with decorations, cupcakes, and Tejano music. Not only did he make another shoe, but family and friends each handbuilt a 24 oz. mug with unique textured rolling pins from clay. Make Eight On A Date your night to party!

SPOTLIGHT: Lisa Ducioame has been a loyal customer long before our move to 905 Austin, visiting us at those Pottery PopUps at Magpie Collective. Her "gang" includes talented sisters, daughters, and friends. This summer, Lisa worked quietly using her special brushes and drawings on several projects. She's shown here glazing her contribution to the 6 X 6 ROYGBIV Art Show and Fundraiser for the Arts Council. She did a series of 4X4 coaster tiles with a drink image on the front and drink name on the back. Her Flirty Face masterpiece took over 9 hours to complete. Look at the those flowered purple pajamas and detailed hair! Well done, Lisa!

Can you believe the magic of this Sun/Moon Lidded Votive container? We were blown away by its beauty! Created during Eight on A Date, the artist poured their heart into combining wheel thrown pieces and crafting cutouts to let candlelight shine through. We've been holding onto it, hoping its creator would return to add the final touch, but sadly, three months have passed and it remains unclaimed.

Our policy is to dispose of unclaimed work after 60 days. Will it find a new home, or will it be lost forever? 🌕✨
