It's an amazing feeling when your dreams become a reality.
It was the first time I had ever put an event together, and I thank everyone who was a part of it for making it all happen. My gratitude extends to those who visited the Artist Talk with myself, Jessica B. Johnson, and Ferdine Le Blanc. When I asked them to join this exhibition, I expected nothing less than fantastic work from them, and they didn't disappoint!
My goal for this exhibition, in short, was to step a little outside the box of most exhibitions consisting of paintings. Instead, I wanted to have an exhibition comprised of all portrait drawings. A face can tell a story without words being spoken. There are so many emotions and feelings that everyone will feel at some point in their life. Each drawing is a visual representation of a story or feeling the artist is attempting to convey within a portrait.
If you missed the Artist Talk and haven't stopped by the gallery, don't worry. All of the artwork will be on display until June 27! If you're ever downtown, stop by the Wichita Falls Art Association gallery. Just look for the building with my last name above it.😅
