Hey everyone! I just wanted to remind all clients and possible clients that it is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18.
We do realize that the TX DHHS website is not the most clear as far as the Texas tattoo laws. If you look up —“25 Texas Administrative Code, §229.406(c)”—, which the DHHS website mentions, you can see the full law laid out clearly.
For anyone wondering if we will tattoo your underage sisters, cousins, kids, or nephews, the answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Most tattoo artists are grateful to be in their position and worked hard to be there. We will not put our careers, goals, and livelihoods on the line for lil Sally to get a star on her wrist.

At Rusty’s we require judge-signed papers.

Also, if you are freshly 18 and your DL or ID expires on your 18th bday, that’s 12:00am. We will turn you away on your birthday if you don’t have a valid ID. It is illegal in Wichita County to tattoo without valid ID. It’s no longer valid at 12:00am.
