Join us on Sunday, June 28th at 2 PM for our next Script Teasers reading as we explore The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman and the Members of Tectonic Theater Project!

This powerful documentary-style play examines the aftermath of the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard through interviews with the people of Laramie, Wyoming. Thought-provoking, emotional, and deeply human, The Laramie Project continues to spark important conversations about community, identity, and empathy.

Whether you’re a theatre lover, actor, or someone who simply enjoys storytelling, we’d love to have you join the conversation and reading! No preparation or experience needed - just come read, listen, and explore theatre together!

We need your input! Backdoor Theatre is planning the future of our youth programs, and we want to hear from YOU first!

Whether your kid lives on stage or has never set foot in a theatre, if you're a teacher, a grandparent, or just someone who cares about our community and its young people, your input truly matters!

Our audiences get to see the action on stage, but it’s the action happening backstage and in the tech booth that truly makes the show happen!

A huge thank you to:
*Fern - for your work, leadership, and dedication in bringing this entire show to life. This production simply would not have happened without you!

*Trenatee - for managing a cast of 14 backstage, coordinating with tech and our nightly house managers, saving costume pieces from falling down, fixing hair out of place, stuffing bloody noses, and somehow keeping everything moving smoothly behind the scenes.

*Shannon - for creating an incredible piece of technical theatre magic! Your lighting design took our audiences and actors from offices to courtrooms to Code Red moments seamlessly!

*Kristin - for running the tech booth and serving as the matron of the light board each night. And an extra special thank you for making sure our Joanne’s military bun was regulation-ready for every performance!

The audience may not always see the work happening behind the scenes, but this show was built on the time, talent, problem-solving, and care of these folks and our Backdoor staff. Thank you for helping make A Few Good Men what it was!

And just like that, A Few Good Men has officially closed!

Thank you to every patron, volunteer, waitstaff, cast and crew member who made this production possible!

Our Dinner Stage has been full of energy, tension, laughter, and incredible storytelling these past few weeks, and we’re so grateful you shared it with us!

Thank you for reminding us why live theatre matters!

** NEW SIGNAGE! **

We are obsessed with our new exterior sign by Ruben and team at Empire Signs and Graphics! It's so much more than a sign, though!

This building has been home to Backdoor Theatre for 50 years. Generations of artists, volunteers, and audiences have walked through our doors, creating something that belongs to this entire community!

Our new exterior sign is one piece of a much greater effort. Our Building Fund has been created to care for this historic space, to make it more visible and welcoming, and to ensure it’s here for the next generation!
