I made this little doll with fond memories of two young Japanese exchange students who stayed with my family when we lived in Colorado. I still have the hand stitched kimono that one young man's aunt made and sent with him for his host family. He taught me how to tie the obi and how to cook with curry. I loved our experiences with these guys and hope they still have fond memories of there time in America too.

While looking for new ideas I found this turtleneck hoodie by DIY Danni. I had never heard of such and had to give it a try. Even with my long skinny turkey neck I felt it was too tight in the neck and too much hoodie, so I got Joslin out and tried it on her. Still wasn't happy. Then I spotted Joe who has a nice big head. He's a little rough looking, been through more than a few moves with me. Playing around with the hoodie, it took about 3 rolls to make it look better around the face. So, I tried it on again, not too bad now but I do think I will modify the pattern to better suit my likes, less voluminous hoodie, roomier neck and I already got rid of that pointy peak on the back of the hoodie, never did like those. I rounded it off.
So, anybody else like the look of this? Should I make more?

Hot Off the Hook!
I have finished these new hats, and they would make great Christmas presents. They are made in a size child/small adult - large adult. Each purchase of one of my hats will help me with my goal of donating hats to breast cancer patients in honor of my two cousins who are both breast cancer survivors.
