🥟❤️ And just like that… Pierogi Fest 2026 has come to an end. ❤️🥟
What an incredible three days! It all began with Friday’s parade and continued through a weekend packed from morning to night with our Buscia Easter Peep Show cooking demonstration, the Pierogi Throw Contest, the Pierogi Eating Contest, amazing Eastern European dancers, beautiful Polish pottery, incredible vendors, sweet Dole Whip treats, and enough laughter to fill the streets.
Then there were the pictures… pictures… and even more pictures! We celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and the simple joy of being together. From one end of the fest to the other—and even beyond—we welcomed visitors from near and far, shared hugs, told stories, made new friends, and reunited with old ones. There were countless laughs… and yes, even a few tears as another unforgettable Pierogi Fest came to a close.
To everyone who stopped by to say hello, attended our cooking show, took a picture, shared a story, or wrapped us in one of those famous Buscia hugs… thank you. You are the reason Whiting Pierogi Fest is so much more than a festival. It’s a family reunion, a homecoming, and a celebration of community.
We’ll be sharing more photos throughout the week because there are simply too many wonderful memories to fit into one post.
But for now… the Buscia Mobile has been parked for another year, the pierogi bunting has been taken down, the aprons have been folded, and the Buscias are soaking their tired feet, enjoying the air-conditioning, and already smiling about the memories we made together.
Until next year… keep your babushka handy, your pierogis buttered, and your heart full.
❤️ Thank you, Whiting. Until we Buscia again
