Happy Monday! Checked the popcorn to start the week. We grow yellow and white popcorn. The ear on the far right is field or what’s called dent corn, because as it dries down the kernel will start to dent. Popcorn doesn’t do that. Popcorn looks good so far. Nice to see the kernels have filled in all the way to the tip of the ear. Check us out for your popcorn cravings at our store in Holton, KS at 705 Arizona Ave. or at www.popcorngifts.net. This year’s popcorn crop looks pretty good right now given the hot dry weather we’ve experienced lately. As always, a rain right about now would be helpful. Looking forward to harvest ! Popcorn is looking good after some very welcome rains last week. It’s a long wait til harvest. Hoping and praying that we get rain throughout the season.
