The City of Whitewater announces UW Whitewater students and alumni were selected for the 2025 Traffic Box Art Project to transform ordinary traffic control boxes into vibrant public artworks, celebrating creativity and enhancing the streetscape. Congratulations, Madi!

Congratulations to Madi Miller from Lodi, Wisconsin, who earned a B.A. in art with an emphasis in graphic design and a minor in marketing and was hired as a histology technician with Newcomer Supply in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Madi says, "My three proudest achievements at UW-Whitewater are winning the Roberta Avonn Fiskum Memorial Scholarship twice, maintaining Dean's List standing, and discovering myself and what I want to do with my life. I'd like to thank Teresa Faris for being an outstanding academic advisor, professor, and friend during these past four years. I'd also like to thank Dan Kim for teaching me resilience and a strong work ethic."

Congratulations, Kaelen!

Congratulations to Kaelen Smith from Watertown, Wisconsin, who earned a B.A. in art with an emphasis in graphic design and a minor in general communication and was hired as a creative services specialist (graphic designer) with Colony Brands in Monroe, Wisconsin. Kaelen says, "I'm most proud of working as a graphic designer in the University Center graphics and marketing office, being a resident assistant in Arey/Fricker for five semesters, and graduating summa cm laude. I'd like to recognize Jenny Fisco for mentoring me through my UC graphic design position and being the best boss ever!"

In addition to social media, this campaign is also shown during the commencement ceremony, so your participation will also be on the big screen for your family and friends to see!
No appointment is needed to have your photo taken — we’ll see you there!

Congratulations, Karolina! We wish you the best!

Congratulations to Karolina Daunora from Naperville, Illinois, who earned a B.A. in journalism and was hired as a marketing specialist with JP Cullen in Janesville, Wisconsin. Karolina says, "My three proudest achievements are winning Outstanding Class Project of the Year from the communication department in 2024, finding my dream job through a posting I saw on campus at UW-Whitewater and submitting for six awards for my work in the past year, and finding a new passion in my metal and jewelry class, where I'm excited to continue work after graduation. I would like to acknowledge Michael Betker for always being incredibly supportive, driving me to become vice president of Whitewater Advertising Association, and developing my skills as an advertising student. The 2023 Schuh Visiting Artist, Della Wells, will be honored for her achievements at the Milwaukee Art Museum on March 20. The event will feature the unveiling of Wells’s 2022 collage, “Together." We are truly grateful for the experience Della created for the UW-Whitewater students last year and for the wisdom, insight, and artistry Della shared with us. Thank you to Annette and Dale Schuh for making this possible. Mark your calendars and don't miss the opportunity to experience Della's inspirational work.
