Disney World has three categories of resorts — Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts, and Deluxe Resorts — and we’ve personally stayed in all three.

“Should we fly to Disney World… or drive?”

And honestly? We’ve done both many times.

We’ve flown into Orlando, and we’ve also made the drive to Disney more times than we can count — and for our family, driving is actually our preferred way to travel.

There’s just something fun about loading up the vehicle, hitting the road, stopping for snacks, listening to music, building the excitement, and knowing Disney World is getting closer mile by mile. 😂

Plus, driving gives a lot of families more flexibility, more room for luggage and souvenirs, and can sometimes save a significant amount of money depending on the size of your family.

Another big advantage? Having your own vehicle while you’re there.

Disney transportation is honestly AMAZING, and we use it all the time. But there’s also something nice about knowing that if you need to run somewhere, grab supplies, leave property for dinner, or just want the flexibility to go where you want on your own schedule — you can.

That extra flexibility can make traveling with kids a whole lot easier sometimes. 😂
