East Kentucky Dance Kubz Come dance and play with Mrs. Taylyn to your favorite songs and music! We will learn, dance, play and even sing some of your favorite songs while in class! Mrs.

Taylyn’s classes will be offered to children ages 4-7.

L.O.VE for Both Benefit Information

Because of Good Friday and spring break, I think it will be best to move the benefit showcase to later in April. This will also allow more time for anyone who may want to come perform and be part of this special event.

On Friday, April 24th, we are wanting to host a benefit showcase for two very special girls in our dance team family. Both of these girls have had brothers diagnosed with cancer this year, and we want to come together to show them love, and support their families during such a difficult time.

We would love to have dance teams, cheer teams, solo performers, and more come share their talents and amazing routines to help these two fighters and their families. Between travel, medical bills, and all the many unexpected expenses that come with this battle, the burden can become overwhelming.

Letcher County is truly one of the greatest places on earth when it comes to showing up for families in need. Let’s do what we do best and come together for these families.

Meet one of our amazing dancers, Makynli Bunch💜

This is a message from her mother:
My Epilepsy Warrior on World Epilepsy Day! 💜

I have to brag on my girl. This girl right here never ceases to amaze me. She is smart, beautiful, kind, strong and dedicated. She puts her whole heart into everything she does. Recently my girl had a cheer accident that resulted in a broken nose and a trip to surgery to repair it. But it never stopped her! She had surgery on a Tuesday and was at practice the next day and competed in competition that weekend. She participates in many extracurricular activities and some days she does multiple sports in a day all while maintaining her straight A’s at school, but what most people forget is this girl is an Epilepsy Warrior on top of all of that. She never lets anything hold her back. She’s the toughest girl I know!! I’m so blessed to be her mama, she’s always making me proud!!

We are so proud of Makynli! She is so smart, so kind, and so talented at everything she does! We’re so glad she has the fight in her!!

L.O.ve for Both benefit show will be rescheduled for later in April!! I will have an official date in the next couple of days.

Please let me know if your team (dance, cheer, or solo dancer) would like to perform to help raise money for there two amazing family’s.

The Letcher County Rec. Center has been amazing and we look forward to make this thing come together.

Hey everyone! I’ve had a lot of questions about sign ups! We will be having sign ups this Wednesday at 5:30 @ Cowan Elementary School. There will be two performance teams.

Groups will run:
5-7 year olds (unless they have more than 4 years dance experience)
8-10 year olds

I will also be having a competition team if I have enough sign ups— requirements are:
✔️You must have atleast years dance experience
✔️ Your kub must be willing to travel and cover travel expenses
✔️ We plan to do at least two competitions in the spring
✔️Your kub must be dedicated and miss no more than 3 practices.

EKDK is BACK, and I couldn’t be more excited to kick off another amazing season! 💕🐾

💜Sign-Ups:
October 22nd (next Wednesday) (location to be announced)
Open to dancers ages 5–10

✨ NEW for Spring 2026:
We’re thrilled to announce the addition of an EKDK Competition Squad!
If your dancer loves to perform and is ready for the next level, this is your chance to shine! ✨

The EKDK will also have performance squads so don’t worry!! It’s going to be amazing!

Season Start Date:
Classes will begin January 6th — this gives us plenty of time for uniforms, warm-ups, and t-shirts to arrive before the season starts!

Happy Summer all!! ☀️

I’ve had a lot of people reach out to me wondering if Dance will continue in the fall. I am currently trying to secure secure a location for practice for all of my kubz! I know many of you are really excited to start the new season.. and so am I!!

God has moved mountains for my health the last 3 months and I’ll forever be grateful for Cleveland Clinic. Im praying I can continue the EKDK journey again this fall💕

if anyone has a idea for a location that we could practice regularly please private message me.

To see these children happy to do something they love so much is my goal and would be a blessing! 🐾
