People walking the roads are NOT aLwaYz HomeLess…
I met this gentleman in Bartow County yesterday and couldn’t believe what he told me.
Participants in the Heart of the South Road Race park their cars in North Georgia, board a bus, and are taken to a mystery location hundreds of miles away.
Then they’re handed a map and given 10 days to make it back to their vehicles using only what they can carry and whatever they can find along the way.
No support crew. No planned route. No GPS guiding them home.
The man I met was walking through Bartow County on his journey back. He told me dozens more participants will be passing through our area over the next few days.
If you see someone walking our roads carrying a pack, they may not be lost. They may be trying to find their way home.
